Despite being more intricate than its predecessor, "Zombie Ferry" fails to meet the standards of good filmmaking. Following the disastrous reception of "Zombie Island" in 2022, director Nguyen Thanh Nam and producer Nhat Trung decided to release a second installment in an attempt to learn from their mistakes. The film continues the unresolved storyline, focusing on the journey of Cong (Huynh Dong), his daughter Na (Mona Bao Tien), and a group of survivors fleeing from zombies, desperately seeking refuge on the last ferry in the Lower Mekong River region.

Cong's journey becomes even more arduous when his daughter is abducted by Diem (Oc Thanh Van), who seeks revenge. Simultaneously, Kiet (Tran Phong) and his wife Trinh (Le Loc), who have just welcomed their first child, find themselves struggling to evade the relentless pursuit of the undead. Throughout the movie, Cong and Kiet's families must rely on each other's support multiple times as they navigate through various obstacles. Despite their efforts to rectify the shortcomings of the previous film, "Zombie Ferry" ultimately falls short of delivering a satisfactory viewing experience.
Zombie Ferry has more meticulousness and thoroughness in its content
“Bến Phà Xác Sống” (Zombie Ferry) is more advanced than Part 1
Compared to the initial installment, which intertwined the journeys of numerous characters, leading to a convoluted storyline, Zombie Ferry takes a more progressive approach by focusing solely on the expedition of Cong and his relatives. The film showcases various settings, ranging from the meticulously designed house, bustling market, and serene river wharf, to the desolate wild fields. These locations contribute to the creation of a somber and suffocating atmosphere, depicting an island devastated by a ghastly plague.

The utilization of flycam footage from different perspectives enhances the emotional connection, as it portrays the struggles of ordinary people amid adversity, confronting the thin line between life and death. Quoc Anh, a viewer on the Che Phim Review fan page, commended the meticulous execution of the second part, providing a more realistic and terrifying experience. The plot ingeniously combines various captivating elements, and the poignant finale left the audience teary-eyed.

Another audience member, Khanh Vu, shared their theatrical experience, stating that the visual clarity and superior sound quality further heightened the eerie ambiance of the film. The movie successfully presents a peculiar and tense environment, reminiscent of Western-style zombie portrayals.

But it's not possible
Although the quality is considered better than the first part, overall, Zombie Ferry still does not meet the requirements of a movie.
Audience member Minh Anh Hoang wrote on the fanpage Che Phim Review: "Zombies in the movie are slow, lumbering, biting people as if waiting for the director's command before jumping in and biting.
The character lines have no connection, disappearing and appearing for no reason. The movie's image is bad, not cinematic at all. The ending of "Train to Busan" incorporates music more like the MV."
“Bến Phà Xác Sống”(Zombie Ferry) has the participation of Huynh Dong, Tran Phong
The comments from the audience about the movie 'Ngoc My' varied in their critique. Ngoc My expressed their disappointment, stating that the film was filled with cheesy details, resembling more of a YouTube video rather than a professional production. They pointed out numerous illogical aspects in the storyline and criticized the inconsistent acting and the unnecessary inclusion of characters solely for self-promotion. In their opinion, the film had reached its limit and should not proceed with a third installment.

On the other hand, Hoai Anh’s audience also shared negative feedback, describing the film as 'still bad.' They highlighted the abundance of characters and superfluous details, along with an excessive use of jump scares, resulting in a dry and rough viewing experience. Despite a greater investment compared to the first part, the poor quality failed to evoke positive emotions among viewers
